Y2Y is proud to support Nakoda Youth Council

In or near Canmore? Come out to support local Indigenous youth on December 5th from 6pm to 9PM MT at the artPlace Canmore. Mini Thni to the United Nations will share the story of the Nakoda Youth Council attending the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) in New York City, USA & the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) in Geneva Switzerland.

This evening aims to bring together both Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members to learn about and hear directly from local Indigenous voices on the importance of thinking globally and acting locally. Join us to learn more about UNPFII & EMRIP, challenges facing Indigenous peoples locally and internationally, and the future of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples here in the Bow Valley.

Doors open at 5:30pm MT. Attendance is free with donations at the door. Registration is required to attend.
