A stock donation is a unique way to financially support Y2Y’s work. Making a gift of appreciated securities, stocks, bonds or mutual funds is easy to do and may provide you with a tax deduction and savings on capital gains taxes.
Below are a number of ways you can make a securities contribution based on the country you are donating from. Each of these options should ensure your transfer is simple, easy and secure.
To ensure you make a gift in time to receive a tax receipt for 2024, please be sure to make any mutual fund securities gifts on or before Friday, December 13, 2024, and for equity security gifts by Friday, December 20, 2024.
For gifts valued at $5,000 or more, please reach out directly to Renée Krysko, Director of Donor Relations, who will be able to provide you with the correct information: renee@y2y.net or 1-800-966-7920 ext. 105.
You will receive a tax receipt for the full market value of the shares on the date that they are received in Y2Y’s account. And in addition to paying no capital gains on the securities you donate, you’ll also be making a positive impact on conservation.

Before your donation
Prior to making a gift of stock or mutual fund shares, please notify Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative with the following information so that we can identify your gift and ensure it is properly transferred:
• Your name
• Number of shares
• Name of the stock or fund
