Y2Y Supporter: Murdoch
Birthdays are often about gifts and goodies. But Murdoch, a
forward-thinking ten-year-old, gave up his gifts and requested that his birthday buddies send a donation to Y2Y.
We were so impressed with Murdoch that we took a moment to ask him what inspired him to give to Y2Y.
Y2Y: What made you decide to ask your friends to donate to Y2Y instead of getting gifts?
M: Animals are important to me – wolves in particular, and I didn’t really need anything. It’s a good gift to Y2Y instead.
Y2Y: Why are animals important to you?
M: Because they are important to the environment and I think we should be protecting them. The forest needs wildlife to help it exist.
Y2Y: What is your favorite thing to do outside?
M: Looking for animals and listening for different bird sounds. I like making forts.
Murdoch, from everyone here at Y2Y, thank you for your generous contribution and more importantly, for sharing your value of wild animals and wild places with your friends!
