How can I make a donation?

You can mail us a check, made payable to the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, online at our secure website, or by telephone 1-800-966-7920.

Your donations have helped Y2Y protect and connect the Yellowstone to Yukon region in many diverse ways, including creating new parks and protected areas, working with multiple partners to build wildlife-friendly highways, helping people live peacefully with wildlife, and healing damaged habitats. Is Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative a registered charity?

Yes. Through our Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative Foundation we are a registered charity in Canada (#86430 1841 RR0001). In the U.S., through our Montana Society we are a registered 501 (c)(3) organization in the United States (#81-0535303). Our legal name is Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative.

How will I get my tax receipt?

If you are a U.S. resident we will be mailing you a thank you letter that will serve as an official tax receipt for the IRS. If you are a Canadian resident we will send you an official tax receipt in the mail.

Where do you get your revenue from?

Y2Y is supported by a broad range of foundations, government agencies, businesses, and individuals like you. With this support, Y2Y works with our partners to implement conservation projects and strategies that protect and connect the Yellowstone to Yukon landscape.

How does Y2Y protect my privacy and my rights as a donor?

Your rights as a donor are important to us, as is your knowing how carefully and effectively we use your donations. Y2Y follows the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Donor Bill of Rights. We also take your privacy very seriously. Click here to see our Privacy Policy.

Do you comply with the Alberta Charitable Fund-Raising Regulations?

Yes. As per the Regulations, we will provide Alberta donors with the charitable purpose for which your contributions will be used and the cost of fund-raising and how much Y2Y expects to raise. Our charitable name, address, and contact information for more information are found here on our website. Y2Y maintains complete and accurate financial records of its operations in Alberta and records regarding solicitations made in Alberta for at least three years after the solicitations are made.

How does Y2Y use my personal information?

All personal information, such as email addresses and financial information, collected on Y2Y's website is knowingly and specifically supplied to us by the website user. Extensive data encryption and password protection is used to manage data. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate. Regularly, our members are given opportunities to choose how often and in what way they wish to hear from us. At any time, our supporters are able to opt out of receiving communication material, and having their information used or shared for purposes beyond those for which it was collected.

How do I know my payment is secure?

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to secure the information provided online. This technology provides cryptographic protocols such as key certificates to secure communications via the internet. Thawte provides our Security Certificate which is a web-standard of 128-bit keys. The certificate license is posted on every eCommerce page.
