Your donations have helped Y2Y protect and connect the Yellowstone to Yukon region in many diverse ways, including creating new parks and protected areas, working with multiple partners to build wildlife-friendly highways, helping people live peacefully with wildlife, and healing damaged habitats. Yes. Through our Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative Foundation we are a registered charity in Canada (#86430 1841 RR0001). In the U.S., through our Montana Society we are a registered 501 (c)(3) organization in the United States (#81-0535303). Our legal name is Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative.
If you are a U.S. resident we will be mailing you a thank you letter that will serve as an official tax receipt for the IRS. If you are a Canadian resident we will send you an official tax receipt in the mail.

Yes. As per the Regulations, we will provide Alberta donors with the charitable purpose for which your contributions will be used and the cost of fund-raising and how much Y2Y expects to raise. Our charitable name, address, and contact information for more information are found here on our website. Y2Y maintains complete and accurate financial records of its operations in Alberta and records regarding solicitations made in Alberta for at least three years after the solicitations are made.
All personal information, such as email addresses and financial information, collected on Y2Y's website is knowingly and specifically supplied to us by the website user. Extensive data encryption and password protection is used to manage data. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate. Regularly, our members are given opportunities to choose how often and in what way they wish to hear from us.
