Telephone Town Hall: Success in the Castle Watershed

Y2Y's Stephen Legault explores the 40-year campaign to protect Alberta's Castle Watershed, and describes what made it so successful.

In September, after 40 years of pressure from Y2Y and other groups, Alberta announced new protections for this important part of the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem.

For our Telephone Town Hall on December 3, Y2Y's Stephen Legault discusses what went right (and wrong) during this successful campaign.

By delving into the last-minute negotiations that made success possible, Legault highlights why the Castle Watershed is so worth protecting, and how we can apply lessons learned to future conservation efforts in the Yellowstone to Yukon region.
