Just Crazy Enough to Work

We will explore how big things become reality when the very idea initially makes people laugh.

Hosted by Jay Cross, founder of the College of Discovery, Creativity and Innovation, this event features Peter Beaudoin, Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive, COSIA (Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance); Jodi Hilty, President and Chief Scientist, Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative and Amy Chen, student leader in UCalgary iGEM team.

What is the Speakeasy Series?

Speakeasy is an event series that facilitates community-building with thought provoking discussion among students, staff and community across the arts, humanities, business, science and engineering in order to foster discovery, creativity and innovation. Enjoy provocative discussion, jazz, and art in the beautiful Taylor Institute building. Expand your mind and your connections, share ideas and discover new perspectives.
