People helping wildlife get safely across the road

We need your help reporting wildlife sightings along major highways in the Elk Valley and South Country of British Columbia to help improve wildlife and human safety.

Have you ever wondered if those overpasses in Banff National Park work? Does it make economic sense to invest in infrastructure to help wildlife move across a highway?

Join us at the launch event for RoadWatchBC to learn about the ways that others have improved wildlife and human safety along roads and how you can help out! We will be screening the documentary Highway Wilding and providing a free workshop on the program.

RoadWatchBC is a citizen science initiative that supports the development of informed strategies to reduce wildlife vehicle collisions while ensuring the safe passage of wildlife across highways.
