Be snow smart and get wildlife wise! If you ski, snowboard, snowshoe, sled or take part in winter activities in the Columbia Basin region of British Columbia, sign up for a free virtual workshop to learn how to be a good neighbor to wolverines, caribou and other wildlife.

Experts from B.C. Government, wildlife biologists and regional wolverine researchers will present and answer your questions. Learn about caribou and wolverine and discuss ways to ski, ride and share the snow responsibly with these wild animals. 

Workshops will focus on features and trails in the following areas, but feel free to attend any of the events, regardless of where you live if you enjoy getting outdoors in the following areas:

Upper Arrow and Slocan Lakes area

If you recreate near Nakusp, New Denver and the Slocan Valley, attend a workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 6:30-8pm PT.

North Columbia

If you recreate near Revelstoke, Golden and area, attend a workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 6:30-8pm PT.

Kootenay Lake and Lower Columbia areas

If you recreate near Nelson, Creston, Kaslo, Rossland, and surrounding areas, attend a workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 6:30-8pm PT.
