Sarah Cubells - Y2Y intern

Sarah CubellsThis summer, Sarah will be working on safe wildlife passage communication as the Idaho Conservation Intern for Y2Y. She is based in Driggs, ID.

Sarah grew up in New Haven County, Connecticut, but spent ample time exploring the Green Mountains of Vermont. She attended the University of Connecticut and received bachelor degrees in Animal Science/Pre-Vet and Molecular and Cell Biology. She wrote her undergraduate honors thesis on the effect of maternal nutrition on ovine offspring muscle development. Sarah studied abroad in Patagonia, Chile, where she worked closely with faculty members, fellow students, and Chilean researchers to study biodiversity and environmental issues in Torres Del Paine National Park and the Greater Patagonian Region.

Sarah looks forward to applying her passion for environmental and wildlife conservation by contributing to the overall goals of Y2Y. Sarah plans to soon pursue a graduate degree in Wildlife Biology.

In her free time, Sarah is an avid hiker, skier, snowboarder, runner, and SCUBA diver.
