Ruth Midgley, Assistant to the Chair of the Beyond Aichi Task Force

Ruth has recently completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto in Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies.

Throughout her time at the U of T Ruth worked on various campaigns to increase awareness of environmental issues among students, including the “It’s Greener in Here” campaign at the University of Toronto Sustainability Office, aimed at promoting environmental groups on campus and building a green culture.

Outside of the school year, Ruth has enjoyed working outdoors doing various types of fieldwork. Ruth spent the last two summers working for Parks Canada in Waterton Lakes National Park as an Ecological Monitoring Technician.

During the summers of 2014 and 2015, Ruth worked as a Conservation Program Associate on the Flathead Wild campaign and is excited to have returned to work at Y2Y as the assistant to Harvey Locke in his work as the Chair of the WCPA Beyond Aichi Task Force.
