Kelly Zenkewich, Communications Coordinator
Kelly comes to Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative with a love of the outdoors and interest in science communications. From a young age she was interested in conservation and the environment, eventually earning a Bachelor of Science in biology.
Prior to joining Y2Y Kelly spent several years working at Alberta's largest newspapers honing her journalistic skills. Her experience ranges from working with the written word in print and digital formats to all forms of social media as well as editing audio, video and photos. She has also spent time as an communications intern at the United Nations Environment Programme Regional Office for North America in Washington, D.C.
She is passionate about forests and animal conservation and is thrilled at the opportunity to become an advocate for the Y2Y region in her role as communications coordinator.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Kelly relocated to Canmore in 2012 after time working abroad. She feels incredibly lucky to be able to run in the shadow of the Three Sisters and snowshoe in Kananaskis Country.
