Jennifer Stelfox, Alberta Program Coordinator

Jennifer StelfoxJennifer has a passion for conservation and for inspiring people about the value of wilderness. She is very excited to be working toward the vision of connectivity in the Yellowstone to Yukon region.

Born and raised in Calgary, she spent her childhood camping and fishing in the mountains with her family and developed a profound love for the area.

Jennifer is a graduate of the Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training (COLT) semester from Strathcona Park Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre (SPL) on Vancouver Island. Before joining Y2Y, Jennifer worked as an outdoor educator for SPL, Outward Bound Canada and the National Outdoor Leadership School. While leading youth on wilderness trips she taught leadership, conflict resolution, environmental stewardship, and general backcountry skills on Vancouver Island, in the Alberta Rockies and in the Yukon.

Jennifer’s interest in learning new things led her to intersperse outdoor education contracts with work as a ski patroller, animal care attendant and library clerk.

She lives in Canmore and enjoys trail running, knitting socks, fly fishing and going hunting with family and friends in the fall.
