Jennifer Hoffman, Development and Communications Director
Jenn loves the mountains. An avid hiker, skier, climber and mountain biker, the Yellowstone to Yukon region is her home.
She has been involved in the conservation community for 15 years, working as a B.C. Park naturalist and in several U.S. National Parks, including Yellowstone and Yosemite.
In 1997, Jenn founded the Sierra Club BC's Education Program and served as its director for 10 years. In 2007, she became the Club's development director, implementing a diversified fundraising program that saw a shift to growing their individual donor gifts to augment a foundation and government grants base.
Jenn has a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies and MA in Education from the University of Victoria. She has authored several publications, and serves as a Fundraising Mentor for Centrepoint Advanced Non-Profit Management.
In 2010, Jenn returned to Canmore to be in the mountains she loves. When not guiding the efforts of organizations working to save wilderness, she spends her time enjoying it. A world traveler, she has spent time in South and Central America, Africa and India.
Jenn lives with her husband Stephen and two children, Rio and Silas.
