Hannah Rasker, U.S. Conservation Associate

Hannah is delighted to be joining the Y2Y team as the U.S. Conservation Associate. She recently received her MS in Environmental Conservation from the University of Wisconsin’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Her thesis work focused on reviewing monitoring and evaluation practices within Y2Y’s Cabinet-Purcell Mountain Corridor. Hannah is excited to be applying her diverse skill set to Y2Y’s amazing team and conservation effort.

Originally from Bozeman, Montana, Hannah grew up exploring the mountains and rivers around Yellowstone National Park with her family, and has a life-long passion for contributing to the success of conservation efforts. Her professional background includes many years experience in the environmental non-profit sector ranging from fundraising to operational roles. She has worked with citizen science groups, land-based conservation efforts, and large carnivore coexistence efforts around the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and has enjoyed wildlife field-work positions focused on sage-grouse in Wyoming, and carnivores in Zambia.

Currently, Hannah lives in Bozeman with her partner Sam and loving labradoodle Oscar. They all enjoy getting outside and exploring whenever possible.
