Jude Daniels

Jude DanielsSince 1998, Jude Daniels has worked in the oil and gas sector as both senior legal counsel and also as a senior Aboriginal Relations advisor and manager. 

She has worked with both Canadian companies and Aboriginal communities extensively on regulatory matters and the economic, social and environmental effects in Aboriginal communities. Jude is a sole practitioner; and the focus of her law practice is on regulatory law, Métis Settlements, socio-economic agreement negotiations, and traditional knowledge matters.

Jude is a part-time hearing commissioner with the Alberta Energy Regulator and is also a board member of the Canmore Subdivision and Appeal Board. 

Jude holds degrees in Social Work and Law and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, and the Indigenous Bar Association.  She is a proud member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Jude has authored "Métis History and Experience and Residential Schools in Canada" and co-authored "Métis Memories of Residential School".

She lives in Canmore, Alberta, with her husband where they enjoy scrambling, skiing and yoga.
