Annie Cameron, Y2Y intern

Annie is excited to be joining the Y2Y BC team this summer as the Columbia Headwaters Education and Engagement Intern.

Annie moved from her hometown of Rossland, BC, to study in Montreal, completing a bachelor’s degree in Biology and English Literature at McGill University.

She has since had the opportunity to experience Quebec north of the 55th parallel. During the school year, she works as a Science of the Land Project Coordinator with Youth Fusion in Nunavik, Quebec, developing and leading science and outdoors activities for children and youth. She has been able to pursue her own passion for wildlife and the outdoors while in Nunavik, exploring the territory on skis and witnessing spectacular wildlife events such as the migration of the Leaf River caribou herd.

Annie also has experience teaching outdoor education with the YMCA, and has worked in conservation education as an intern with the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
