Do You Want a Discovery Walk in Your National Park? - September 5, 2012

It is one of the most contentious projects in Canada's National Park. Now is your chance to stand up against inappropriate development!

Construction has begun on Brewster’s “Glacier Discovery Walk” structure on the Icefields Parkway in Canada's National Park.

Canadian National Parks belong to all of us. Many people remain convinced that this development contradicts national parks policy, and is not only inappropriate but also sets a bad precedent for other commercial enterprises in Canada’s National Parks. (Click here for details.)

A group of concerned citizens continues to draw attention to this issue so that Parks Canada and the developer, Brewster Travel Canada (owned 100% by Viad Corp, an event-marketing enterprise based in Phoenix, Arizona) know that this decision is unacceptable.

If you feel the same stand up against further degradation of our national parks and celebrate hope for their future.
