Action is Needed for Alberta's Castle Wilderness (Jun/11)
Road building and logging could begin in Alberta's Castle Wildland as early as this month, threatening to sever a critical north-south wildlife corridor in the Yellowstone to Yukon region, while destroying core habitat for grizzly bears and other wide ranging wildlife.
74% local residents support the creation of a Wildland Park and business owners who depend on the Castle's magnificent scenery and wildlife for their livelihood have voiced their outrage over plans to clear cut log the area.
